I shot an arrow into the Air

This is a small Poem I studies in my school around 8-9 years ago. There is something magical about this poem that I still remember it.


I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song?

Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.

Some Powerful thoughts

• People don't get promoted for doing their job, but for doing more than their job

• Hope for the best, plan for the worst

• If you can't get through the mountain, Go around it.
  If you can't go around it, Go over it.
  
  If you can't go over it, sit down and ask yourself, If getting to the other side is all that important?
  
  If it is, set about digging a tunnel.
